Fall detection uses an algorithm and cannot guarantee to detect all falls — it depends on how and where the device is worn at the time of the fall. If you have fallen and are able to, always press the SOS button. A mobile signal is required for the smartphone app to connect to our Response Centre when away from home.

How it gets help
On an alert, we phone the people you choose, in the order you choose.
1. Squeeze for helpSqueeze the band's sides to call for help. It's designed so it can't go off by accident.
2. Automatic fall alertsDetects a serious fall and raises the alarm, even if the wearer can't press anything.
3. “I'm OK” checksA gentle buzz morning and evening. One tap confirms all's well. If there's no reply, family are told.
4. Predictive analyticsWe track daily activity and compare it with your ‘normal’. We'll email the people you choose if you've had a disturbed night's sleep or an inactive day.

If the wearer has a long-term medical condition, there is no need to pay VAT. At checkout, just tell us who they are and the category of their condition, then proceed. No doctor’s letter or proof is required; we apply the relief automatically.

No. We have two different base units, one that needs to plug into your broadband router and one that just needs power and works with a built-in multi-network SIM card, so it does not require a landline or home Wi-Fi. Just plug in the base unit and it connects automatically. It works anywhere in the UK with mobile coverage.
Yes. The wristband is fully waterproof and designed to be worn 24/7, including in the shower and bath, where falls are most likely to happen. It is lightweight, comfortable and safe for continuous wear.

Yes. Pair the wristband with an iPhone or Android phone carried by the wearer and it stays protected when out and about.
Normally the renewal happens on the anniversary of your first purchase. However, if there will be a long delay before your first use, please let us know and we will defer your renewal date.
The Acticheck broadband-only base station is fully digital and will work on older analogue lines as well as digital lines. Just plug it into the back of whatever router you have. The cellular-enabled bases will work on analogue, digital or as a standalone.
