This looks as if it will be the one for my mum! She is extremely deaf and so can have nothing that either speaks to her or she speaks to. She doesn't have a land line or a mobile either, so trying to find something that fits the bill has been very difficult. We have not had an opportunity to see it in action – thank goodness – but tests we have done have proved this will work well. I got into a muddle connecting everything as I was doing it from my mobile as mum doesn't have one. I had to call for advice three times, but things got sorted very efficiently. The person on the end of the phone was very friendly. Mum has very thin skin, but she finds wearing the bracelet not at all uncomfortable. Myself, my hubby, my sister and our two daughters are responders. Her health visitors are also very interested in the system and I suspect they may be recommending it to some of the people they visit. All in all, very, very pleased. Thank you. Sue Lyne

Never (thank goodness!) used in anger, but gives peace of mind. Replacement of puck very easy.

Only just added this to subscription, but sounds like a good idea, as our contact list is pretty small.

It was simple to set up once I realised that both cables had to be attached to my router. I have had a little difficulty attaching and undoing the strap round my wrist but I do have a bit of arthritis in my fingers and thumbs which impedes progress but once I got used to it I found it less awkward.

Ordered very close to Christmas and Acticheck monitored delivery and confirmed dispatch even when delivery was delayed and apologised for the failure of the postal service

I had hoped I would never need to use my Acticheck, but never left it off. I needed to use it twice recently. It was most reassuring to hear my phone ring. I could not reach it, but knew that help was on its way. It's a wonderful asset. I would never be without it.

My Mum found it easy to wear and use and has it on 24 hours without hardly noticing it. The set up was relatively straightforward. Had not had to use ‘in anger’ as yet so don’t know how it will work in practice, but the tests we ran suggest all would work okay. Got very thorough and prompt help from the Acticheck support team.

Simplicity, yet such a breakthrough, a tremendous step forward in assisting in elderly independence, loved ones well being and safety, whilst giving their respondants/family peace of mind.

Easy to replace

Although I haven't put it to the test yet, I was very impressed with the service I got. Not in a hurry to fall and see if it works!
Very helpful when I rang with a query. Wristband comfortable and not too obvious as an alarm.

Removing the old puck and inserting the new one was no problem. Found understanding the instructions onscreen and from the letter (which luckily gave more detail), a bit confusing but we got there.

Because we are returning the puck, to I presume be reused it seems a bit expensive.

Great idea, it puts my mind at rest when I leave my Dad at home for a few hours. He reasonly fell, and was on the floor for an hour before I returned, his phone was on the other side of the room.
