This is a very effective and reassuring aid. There were a couple of teething problems and questions but support is excellent. I think it would help the more fragile to have the buttons on the wristband highlighted And more responsive.

Very pleased with it. Just a shame that the cover does not now extend to when I am out.

I have found the band satisfactory when needed in an emergancy. Karl is always helpful with difficulties and any problems I have .

Equipment looks and feels high quality. Instructions and leaflets equally good. I have had a couple of trial runs with my responder list, and an alarm due to setting of fall sensitivity.
As mine is broadband/smartphone a drop out of my home broadband connection also affected my smartphone connection as we had a simultaneous period of poor phone network signal strength. (Normally my smartphone uses WiFi/broadband calling when at home to overcome poor cell phone signal).
I am profoundly deaf and think the devices rely a bit too much on alarm sounds – which I can't really hear from all over my current house or when not wearing my hearing aids. I also have reservations about the wrist band 'vibrate' length and strength. But then I am fussy.
Certainly the help and assistance I have received from acti-check has been helpful and would assess as excellent.

It takes a while to set it up and there one or queries but Karl was very helpful. I have yet to decide on safe place for key but as my family are all working from home just across the vilage green there is ot a huge urgency.

This has worked well for us as my 90 year old mother lives with us but in a separate flat. This device is perfect as it doesn’t need a landline. The only thing she has found difficult is that the wristband is quite hard and made her thin skin sore so we have loosened it a bit and she puts creams under. It has given us all peace of mind.

Long set up, but worked through it steadily. Needed input from Acticheck as to set up structure at the beginning.
Problem with setting up iPhones on the account. Acticheck staff did these manually for us.
Have tested it a couple of time since starting using it – so far so good.

Fortunate to have help to set system up. It took him just half an hour whereas I would have taken half a day!
One problem with one responder was sorted by Karl immediately he knew about it.

Very professional initially and with a call back query the same.

The system is relatively simple and works well. Dad's been using it now for a week or so and all seems well. It's comfortable and fabulous peace of mind – for both us and him. Impressed that there was no argument from Dad, mainly because it's so unobtrusive and comfortable to wear.
Only negative comment would be that the instructions could be a bit clearer for assigning telephone numbers etc. I did it first time but more by luck than judgement – it's not overly clear who's number is required for the relative stages (user or carer).
Other than that though, all good.

This arrived very quickly and was easy to set up. The “watch” is very unobtrusive so doesn’t highlight mum’s vulnerability or make her feel old. With daily notifications that she is ok, we all have the assurance that she is safe and it has given her more confidence knowing that she can raise an alert in the event of a fall. We are very happy with our purchase.

Ahead of the rest – this is a truly innovative, thoughtful product.
Great customer support too – responsive and very helpful.

Easy fitting and postage paid to recycle old puck

This is the third alarm system that I purchased and I am very satisfied with its initial success. The other two have been returned to the suppliers

My 97 year old neighbour is very pleased with the watch and is not at all intimidated by it. It is simple to use and gives us both confidence that living alone she can quickly notify us if she needs help. Very easy to set up and use. Great customer service too. Highly recommended.

Smooth, hassle free service

It was very easy to find right equipment for our conditions. It also was delivered in no time. Quality of devices is very high and all instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.

I’m a silver surfer and set my acticheck myself. It was fairly simple to do although I did have to contact the help line before I could complete it. However I am really pleased with it and both my family and myself are pleased

The puck for my Acticheck has just been replaced. I write to tell you how pleased I am with the service I have received. Fortunately I have not needed to call out any of my support to date but having needed a knee replacement this last year and also with significant arthritis it is a great comfort to me to know that I can call on help Teasily should the need arise. Living alone can be somewhat daunting when stability, and age, creep up on one. (Not that I'm complaining).

My daughter, as administrator, is also able to check on my wellbeing from a distance, which is no doubt helpful to her, living as she does a distance away.

It was easy to replace the puck. The instructions were clear.

Like the general approach and the unfussy band – not too obviously an alarm for an elderly person.
Setup was not as straightforward as the instructions suggested but it worked after two or three attempts. Testing use of the band and organising contact with 3 responders was very straightforward.
We have had one episode of the box losing connection with the internet for a few hours for no obvious reason – no power cut and the broadband connection didn't appear to have gone down – but it returned of its own accord when I went to my father’s to sort it out, so no action needed. We’ll let you know if it happens again.
Remote monitoring and use of the dashboard etc is working well and seems very effective. Took 2 stars off because of slight difficulty with setup and episode of losing connection. Overall good.

This is the best system for many reasons including (1) wristband battery life (2) good reception inside house (3) mobile phone link when away from home (4) safe with pacemakers

My mother has been using the acticheck band for 5 days now and we haven't had any false alarms (a regular occurrence with other devices). Although the band was quite fiddly to put on (she has very small wrists) that's been the only slight difficulty we've had. Both she and I are very happy with the system so far.
