We ordered the Acticheck and an extra wristband as a Christmas present for our parents who are in their 90's and still living independently at home. They have become more prone to falling lately, and as we live a long way away, we were very concerned for their safety. Whilst we were trying to decide whether this product would be what we were looking for, I had an online chat with Acticheck and a couple of emails. They could not have been more helpful, and we went ahead based on the product spec and the fact that it is British designed and made. It was very well received by our parents, who are very proud and not wanting anything that made their frailty apparent like the pendant alarms do.
A relative staying with our parents over Christmas set it up without too much difficulty, and we are now able to see that all is well via the online dashboard. So far, no real alarms have been raised, but the practise checks worked perfectly.
The only problem we have is that we haven't yet been able to convince the parents to wear them overnight, but we hope they will change their minds about that!
Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a stylish and discreet aid, from a company whose customer care has been second to none so far.

Works very well. Easy to replace with clear instructions. Good product.

The system is probably the best on the market – not the cheapest but certainly the most comprehensive and quite reassuring for those in a vulnerable position. My only criticism would be that the handbook instructions are not as clear as they might be as regards some functions.

My Mum has only been using the band for a week but so far so good. She is keeping the band on all the time so it must be comfortable to wear. I like that when I wake up in the morning I can check the activity and see that she is up and about.

Very good product, and excellent after sales customer care

This is an excellent product. The Wellness Check feature has given us great peace of mind as my mother is a type 1 diabetic who lives on her own. This feature alone is a life-saver and means she can live the independent life that she wants to. Highly recommend.

I found the support given when I was setting up acticheck was excellent. The fact that I get an email each day to let me know the equipment is working is also good. Then when I am away from home I can add the extra items such as the fall alert, which certainly gives me peace of mind.

Excellent system, does exactly what I need.

Was purchased for my Mum who's a solo-senior, doesn't mind wearing her 'Fitbit' at all… Very handy doesn't need charging.. Has a good range for the garden and easy to adjust setting on website on your phone. Hope never needed but handy bita kit for the job

I know that I am safe by being monitored 24 hours a day 365 days a year. It gives me peace of mind so I am sleeping better.

Getting used to the bracelet. Need to change the “wellness check “ time; did not realise this was dependant on proximity to base rather than mobile.

swift and easy

Karl was very helpful when I phoned up with questions about the acticheck system, which I duly went on and purchased for my elderly father. I've been setting it up and testing it at my home at the moment and it seems perfect for our needs. Thanks very much!

Replacement went fine. Only problem I have is getting band off and on again without help. My wife said shame the band doesn't give better access to air e.g. more holes in band. I where it all the time and it was getting a bit unpleasant under the band.
