I like it all and to have such prompt replies to queries and comments is refreshing and so often missing elsewhere
The price covers equipment and one year cover which is a better deal in my view than other systems i have found

Have been using Acticheck for a couple of weeks now and it delivers beyond my expectations. I wanted something I could set up myself, monitor myself, customise myself and not have to pay a monthly fee. I was also looking for a device that could be worn all the time without the need to charge up, basically you never have to take it off which provides for protection around the home 24 x 7. My only consideration is the battery life (which is hopefully 1 year), it would be great to be able to exchange this myself though I do understand Acticheck have ongoing costs associated with i.e. cloud storage so these costs need to be covered somehow and hence having to pay an annual replacement fee. To be honest, now I understand the full benefits then I would have paid more for the initial purchase. The family love the reassurance it provides.

I generally think it works well. I find the vibration to remind me to press one button to say I am OK is very faint and can go unnoticed. It was helpful to be advised to set the vibration intensity to 50% not 80% (!) and to be told that I could press the OK button up to 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Both these point ought to be included in the advice on the website

I'm a technophobe but this was really simple to set-up. Just as well as my mother-in-law needed our assistance the very next day!
We chose the Acticheck as we don't have any mobile coverage in my mother-in-laws home, so it needed to connected over Wi-Fi.

I love everything about it
Especially wearing it 24 7 for shower and swimming
The only thing I wish it was thinner on my wrist instead of chunky
But more than satisfied

After doing a thorough review of personal alarms, I decided that this alarm best fitted my circumstances. I consider myself to be quite fit and healthy but vulnerable living alone. This gives me the security of being able to summon help if able but it will summon help if I am unable.

My daughter set it up with me. It took a while to do but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. We made a phone call and this was answered very quickly by Karl who was most helpful.

I have not had the alarm long but it has given me the peace of mind I required.

Ordering & fitting the puck was very easy. I had thought I'd need help switching over the puks but instructions very clear & I did it myself.

Still in the early days but ordering was easy with queries promptly answered. Set up would be complicated for an older person with no IT knowledge but easy enough for someone who has set up a new phone or tablet – the instructions are very clear.

We get our daily update which is useful but we've not had a 'live' testing and long may it stay that way.

The information you can leave for First Responders is very useful – codes to key boxes, NHS numbers, details of medication/advance directives etc.

All very reassuring and means that mum can stay in her own home, which is exceptionally important for us all.

It was always going to be tricky familiarising my mum, who has dementia, with the system but it has gone as well as I could have hoped. Whenever I see her we run through the process of raising the alarm and she is happy to practice this time and again because she knows that the call comes through to me and not to a stranger. Had the call been going to a call centre she would be far less likely to use it. The instructions for setting up the system were very clear although inevitably this does take a little time and thought.

Great unit, and easy to set up

This is a fantastic product! One of the reasons for choosing this over other brands was that my dad can wear the device 24/7, without the need for re-charging the battery. It was easy to set up and the customer service team are very quick at responding to queries. Overall, very happy so far!

So glad we found this product. My mother loves it, so light and comfortable to wear and no chance of accidentally pressing a button and causing a false alarm. She's also reassured that it's only family who will be called in case of an emergency. I also love the 'I'm OK' feature that you can set. Reassuring for us without constantly phoning mum to check on her so making her feel more independent which is hugely important to her. The instructions to set it up were very good and it's great that you can do as many 'test alarms' as needed to practice what to do without inconveniencing anyone else.
